Technology Development Program (TECDP) Summer Internship Are you looking for a summer intern experience in healthcare that advances innovations in technology to drive business results ?The Cigna Group is looking for technology-focused individuals to join our Technology Development Program (TECDP) Summer Internship. We provide our interns with challenging technology assignments, formalized training, and guided mentorship. The committed partnership between interns, program managers, and technology leaders is a testament to the program’s value and the critical role it plays in developing The Cigna Group’s future innovators in technology. The 12-week internship is designed to further develop an individual’s technical skills aligned with their interests and enterprise need. Our program office will work with interns to determine the best role for them before starting. In addition to their role work, interns will have the opportunity to participate in an Innovations Project which seeks to solve challenges related to real business needs.  Summer Internship opportunities include but are not limited to:

Application Developer/Software Developer/Software Engineer

Infrastructure/Cloud/Network Engineer

Machine Learning/AI

Systems/Data/Business Analyst

Information Protection Specialist

Architecture Specialist

Scrum Master/Project Manager/Product Owner/Release Train Engineer

Innovations Project: Participate in an Innovations Project with peers to develop a proof of concept for solving prevalent health care issues. Through conducting surveys and creating mobile applications, previous projects have helped make an impact in:  

Improving Sleep Patterns

Improving Diabetes Management

Affordable and Accessible Prescription Drugs 

Qualifications:

Intern candidates must be currently enrolled and progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in a technical program - Preferred degrees include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and Software Engineering.

Degrees related to business technology disciplines such as Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, and Business Information Systems may be considered based on the depth of technology experience. 

Aworking knowledge of programming basics.

3.3 or greater overall GPA preferred. 

Additional Information:  Location: All program roles have the expectation for greater than 50% of their workweek to be in the office.Internship opportunities may exist at one of the following offices:  Bloomfield, CT | St. Louis, MO l Philadelphia, PA | Denver, CO l Morris Plains, NJ l Nashville/Franklin, TN | Austin, TX | Bloomington, MNSummer housing is available for interns who live more than 50 miles from their assigned office.Schedule: You must be available to work Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week beginnin g May 19 , 2025.Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation.
